Contemporary style –
and an attention to those little details that make you feel not merely welcome,
but instantly at home – has made something really special out of this Victorian terraced cottage, situated on the Northeast Norfolk
coast just yards from an award-winning blue flag beach.
The glass-fronted wood-burner
in the living room and a sun-trap patio ensure it is comfortable year
round, and little touches, such as a bottle of wine (and milk) chilling in the
fridge and a Bluetooth speaker are both thoughtful and practical: put your favourite playlist on, light a fire, pour a glass
of wine or make a pot of tea …. and forget about unpacking until tomorrow. It
is also very child-friendly (travel cot, high chair, games, puzzles, DVDs, even baby cutlery and a baby bath), with the beach and an unusually imaginative
playground (with a real boat to play in) a couple of minutes’ walk away, not to mention a fab mini-golf course! As for Mundesley, it's a charming, traditional seaside village, split between a quiet inland quarter and a slightly busier seafront stretch, with a handful of shops, cafés and pubs which serve food if you don’t
feel like cooking, and including an excellent beach café down on the extensive sandy beach.
Stone's Throw has three bedrooms (comfortably sleeping five in two
doubles and a single), and a very well-equipped stone-flagged kitchen/dining
room with a washing machine, microwave and a Nespresso machine. The lounge has a wood-burning stove (complete with a basket of logs) and is a wonderful
place to curl up on a chilly evening, and the south-facing, sheltered courtyard
-– kitted out with chiminea and BBQ – makes eating outside a real pleasure on a sunny summer evening. Other
facilities include central heating throughout, a bathroom with shower, Wi-fi,
smart TV and private off-road parking.

Food & Drink
There are some fabulous places to eat nearby. Mundesley has a great choice of cafes, a fabulous fish and chip shop, chinese take away and village pub with wonderful sea views. There's even a seafood stall selling fresh crab, prawns, cockles and lobster.
Our favourite place to eat is The Gunton Arms at Thorpe Market. The food is extremely good and is well worth a visit at any time of year.
Open
Available all year.

£100 per night April–October, minimum 3 night stay (outside school summer holidays); £80 per night November–March, minimum 2 night stay (except Christmas). During school summer holidays and at Christmas the minimum stay is 7 nights and costs £700.
