A haven of peace that's also a perfect base for exploring Sheringham and the North Norfolk Coast
Why not try a spot of 'Reverse Living' in Sheringham on the North Norfolk Coast? This beautiful designer house makes for a terrific spot from which to explore not just the delights of the Sheringham itself but also the North Norfolk Coast in general, and is well named – you can see the treetops and it feels very much like a retreat! The property is run with love and care by Charlotte and her husband, who live next door to the property and are on hand should guests need anything. Tucked away down a private lane, yet within a 10-minute walk from Sheringham's town centre and all-important beach, Tree Top View couldn't feel more special, with a peaceful and secluded feel. By 'Reverse', they of course mean 'Upside Down', which also explains the name – the bedrooms are at the bottom, the living space at the top, giving wonderful views over the woodland in front of the house.
The ground floor is home to two spacious bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, the other with a super-king that can be split into two singles, and a shower room with a loo, sink and high-pressure walk-in shower. There's a further bathroom upstairs with a dual-end bath from which you can relax and enjoy the best of the views. Also upstairs, the living space consists of vaulted open-plan sitting room, kitchen and diner, with a wood-burning stove and bi-fold doors opening onto a Juliet balcony. It's all beautifully done, and has all the amenities you might want – underfloor heating, good wifi, Smart TVs, a DVD player and lots and lots of light. The kitchen is high spec and well equipped, with a ceramic hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher and slow cooker, while the dining space easily seats 6 people and can be provided with for high chairs and booster seats if needed. There's also a washing machine downstairs and you have access to the garden in front of the property.
Finally, not only is Tree Top View well-named, it's well located too, perfectly placed for a seaside holiday, yet far enough away from the town centre to be an absolute haven of peace and quiet. If you want to enjoy Sheringham and around there's no need to get into your car – and the nearby North Norfolk Railway takes in a number of appealing spots on its way to Holt: one of North Norfolk's most elegant small towns. You're also just across the road from the lovely Priory Maze & Garden. Further afield, you can go east to Cromer for great fish and chips or west to the nature reserve at Cley or to see the seals at Blakeney Point – both no more more than a few minutes' drive away. There'a also the National Trust properties of nearby Sheringham Park and Felbrigg Hall. It's all highly recommended - and the welcome you receive from Charlotte is second to none!
