The Tides

A deceptively large house right at the heart of the popular North Norfolk seaside resort of Sheringham, this Victorian property is perfectly located  for a beach holiday for a large family, group of friends or even a reunion by the sea. With five double bedrooms, it can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests (even more if you make use of the sofa bed) and is just 2 minutes from Sheringham's beach and the rest of the town's attractions.

Downstairs is nicely furnished, with a sizeable living room, a dining room with space for up to 10 people and a well-equipped handmade kitchen that's ideal for cooking up family feasts.There's  also a utility room with a dishwasher, Nespresso machine and washing machine. On floors 1 and 2, the bedrooms are large and (apart from one room, which has twin beds) furnished with either super-king or king-size Hypnos beds that can convert to twins. One bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, and there is both a family bathroom and a separate shower room on the first floor, plus a wetroom on the ground floor – perfect for post-beach showers!

You're not stuck for things to do. You're just 160 steps from the beach so sunny days pretty much take care of themselves; there's also a small garden that's a perfect light-trap for sun-worshippers. For rainy days, there's a separate 'Den' or cinema room with a sofabed and blackout curtains for daytime screenings. Sheringham is a delightful traditional resort in its own right, and a good jumping-off point for lots of other attractions along the fabled North Norfolk Coast, from the nature reserve at Cley to the seals at Blakeney and of course the legendary beach at Holkham, while inland you can visit the National Trust property at Sheringham Park or take a steam train on the North Norfolk Railway to the elegant Georgian market town of Holt.
