YHA Sheringham is tucked away on Cremer’s Drift, just a short walk from the beach and high street. Bright communal spaces make it equally suited to families, groups and independent travellers. There’s a choice of private rooms and shared dorms, so you can keep things sociable or opt for a little more privacy. Settle into the lounge, make use of the self-catering kitchen and dining area if you fancy preparing your own food, or head to the bar if you prefer. Just down the road is the North Norfolk Railway, where you can hop aboard a steam train for a scenic 10.5-mile round trip to Holt. And Priory Maze & Gardens is just a 15-minute stroll away. For a classic North Norfolk day out, head westwards to Blakeney for a boat trip in search of the area’s famous seal colonies, or go east to Cromer.
