The Victoria Inn

Ideally situated just a few minutes’ walk from the golden sands of Holkham Beach and at the gates of Holkham Hall, the Victoria Inn is perfectly placed for discovering one of the most appealing parts of the North Norfolk. It has a total of 20 bedrooms – 10 in the pub itself with a further 10 in the so-called Ancient House opposite. They’re all individually decorated, with a choice of twin and double rooms in the pub and a selection of suites in the Ancient House. Most of the rooms in the pub are bright and spacious and come with king-size beds, tea- and coffee-making facilities (with fresh milk), wifi, en-suite bathrooms with toiletries and robes – and some rooms have standalone baths and separate showers; you also get homemade shortbread in your room. Dogs are welcome in the bedrooms in the Victoria, but not the 10 bedrooms in Ancient House, they are also allowed in all restaurant areas as well as the bar.  As for the food, it’s – naturally – estate-sourced, not overly complicated and delicious, and you can enjoy it with your dog in the bar, preferably after a day enjoying the glorious dog friendly expanse of Holkham beach and the pinewoods behind.
