You can come to this romantic hotel for afternoon tea, lunch and dinner. Hadleigh Barrett and Stuart Brown are responsible for a changing menu packed with interesting meat and fish options, from citrus cured halibut, tempura squid, pickled ginger, soy & lime purée to roast saddle of rabbit with boudin noir and pancetta with hash potatoes. A lot of care is put into the provenance of absolutely everything, from the meat, fish and shellfish to the cheese and fresh produce. They also make their own preserves and bread, rear their own chickens and source many of their herbs, flowers and vegetables from a huge, impressively restored kitchen garden. Eat in one of two spacious dining rooms with traditional fire places and pretty wall murals, or arrange a candle-lit dinner in the restored Georgian Kitchen.
