Where luxury glamping meets the tranquillity of the Devon countryside

Tucked away within a private 15-acre deer park, this intimate glampsite features just two secluded safari lodges, each with its own enclosed raised decking and twin sunken Jacuzzi baths. Perfect for couples, families or small groups of friends, the lodges sit amongst rolling Devon countryside, where roaming red deer are part of the everyday view.

Named Fallow and Roe, the lodges are identical in layout and comfort. Each sleeps up to six guests (maximum four adults, up to four children) across 65 square metres of warm, thoughtfully designed space. Inside, you’ll find two king-size bedrooms and cosy single cabin beds, all with electric blankets for colder evenings. Rustic charm meets modern comfort, with a fully-equipped kitchen (microwave, toaster, kettle, four-ring gas hob and fridge-freezer), an open-plan living and dining area with two sofas, a six-seater dining table and a log burner with an oven, plus a bathroom with a hot shower and flushing toilet. Mains electricity, TV and 4GEE WiFi are all included.

Step outside onto the partially covered six-by-six metre deck and sink into the private tubs while taking in uninterrupted countryside views. Hammocks, seating areas and a BBQ make it ideal for relaxed outdoor living, whether that’s morning coffee with the deer, an afternoon soaking in the sunshine, or a glass of something chilled as the sky turns gold.

The sunsets here are truly spectacular, with wide open skies glowing pink and amber across the valley. And once darkness falls, the lack of light pollution means incredible twinkling skies, perfect for stargazing from the warmth of your Jacuzzi or wrapped up by the fire pit, just a short stroll from your lodge – ideal for relaxed communal evenings. A complimentary golf buggy is available during your stay, making exploring the grounds effortless and fun.

For exploring further afield, Dartmoor’s walking trails, cycling routes and wild landscapes are just 20 minutes away, while the beaches of Bude and the wider North Cornwall coastline are about an hour’s drive – excellent for surf days, scenic walks and seaside sunsets. Or simply stay put, wake to misty mornings, spend slow afternoons surrounded by nature, and end the day watching the sky and the deer put on a show.
