Lusty Glaze Beach Cottage
Fling open the doors onto a pearly horseshoe cove where you can take a dip in the Atlantic breakers. A privately owned cove, Lusty Glaze is accessed via 133 steps, making it one of Newquay’s hidden gems. And hogging a prime position, nudging the sand, this clapboard beach pad is one of the best-located self-catering cottages in Cornwall. Enjoy sublime beach views from the cool, contemporary interior, or sit out on the private terrace and watch the sun go down over the sea. When storms blow simply retreat to a sofa by the log-burner, and, if you don’t want to whip up a feast in your open plan kitchen/diner, it’s only footsteps across the sand to the seasonal Beach Restaurant. Although you’re likely to get the beach to yourself in the morning and late evening it's popular activity hub by day, with a centre offering all manner of beach activities from surfing and coasteering to zip wiring and abseiling. The Beach Cottage is dog-friendly and sleeps 6. A beach chalet sleeping 6 is also available.
From £345 for a short break; £1195 per week.
