Stylish self-catering farm cottages dedicated to family fun in the Great Outdoors.

As an antidote to the 'nature deficit disorder' now said to be affecting children in Britain, the experience at Bosinver Farm cottages couldn't be more effective. Throwing you and your family firmly into the Great Outdoors, you can follow Farmer Dave to feed the animals and collect eggs from the hens; look out for wildlife and the Gruffalo on woodland trails; ride ponies; and light campfires, hunt bugs and build dens with their 'Wild Kids' Forest School sessions. The cottages themselves are something else too – 20 of them, spread across 30 acres of wildflower meadows and gardens, they are nothing like your average farm-style cottage they have a bright, contemporary designer style.

There are dog-friendly cottages, plush farmhouses, converted barns and stables, a picture-perfect thatched cottages, and even a stylish eco-house with bells and whistles galore. Leave your wellies at the door and life inside is laid-back and luxurious – stylish interiors, open-plan living, and every family holiday convenience at your fingertips, from cots and highchairs to a heated indoor pool, small gym, play barn and games room, plus outdoor play areas, woodland and lake to explore. And it's an enchanting spot for couples too, with a great selection of smaller, private cottages where you can curl up by the log burner.

Winner of the Visit England ‘Award for Excellence Family Friendly Accommodation’ 2017 and winners of Visit England's Gold award for the best self-catering in England 2015, Bosinver Farm is like an idyllic model village with pretty detached cottages scattered amongst 30 acres of meadows and woodland. A closer look finds it's far more, with extensive facilities including a new heated indoor pool, tennis court, games room, free wifi and play barn. Yet there's enough space to ensure guests' privacy and independence.

We know that it's the simple pleasures of adventures in the woods and fields that make the best memories. We’ve created a Wild Kids Club and animal trail (with prizes for finding the lot) that leads to the Polgooth Inn, a family friendly pub serving good local food. Exploring the trail is almost as much fun as making friends with our chickens, ducks and ponies on the daily animal feeding and egg-collecting rounds with Farmer Dave.

Perfect place for a family holiday packed with nature and outdoor activity

We had a fantastic week at Bosinver, with two children aged 7 and 6. It is a beautiful place with plenty of opportunities to watch birds and enjoy nature. Apart from the amazing pool (which was a daily highlight), there is so much to do on the farm: tennis court, games room, zip wire, play areas and trails. Our children loved feeding the animals each morning. The house was warm and cosy and well-equipped, and the owners provide lots of extras if needed: waterproofs, wellies, buckets and spades, body boards etc. There was also a wealth of information (about local beaches, cafes, outings) that was enormously useful in helping us to plan day trips.

Brilliant family holiday

This place is excellent. Came with my 4 year old and my wife and quite honestly I couldn’t have asked for a better week. The atmosphere is amazing, it’s what you want when you go to this type of holiday. Hard to truely put into words the vibe here but once you have been you will know what I am talking about. It’s got brilliant facilities I won’t list them just know you will not be bored if you want to spend the day on the farm. It is also in a great location with the highlights of the holiday unexpectedly being crabbing in megavissey and the beach at perranporth. Do both!!

Amazing! What a brilliant family holiday

Absolutely gorgeous place set in a wonderful peaceful setting. I took my 2 kids along with some other family and they adored it. Feeding the farm animals to the walks to the swimming pool and play areas for the kids, they never get bored and if your kids like being outside and being active then I would recommend this as a holiday with the family.

Bosinver is a magical place to stay

A wonderful place to stay, very straightforward to find with easy off road parking. An excellent location for exploring Cornwall…although as it’s such a magical place you may not want to leave Bosinver. Apple cottage was modern and spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were particularly comfortable. And with the living space being upstairs it’s like staying in the most comfortable tree house surrounded by nature with wild rabbits and sheep in views across the fields. A lovely touch was the welcome pack on arrival and the welcome and warmth from the Bosinver family. The location was great too, just a short walk to the nearest village with a great shop and pub. Thank you Bosinver for a magical stay.

We couldn't have had a better holiday

I rarely give 5 star reviews, but Bosinver deserves every one of them. We went as a family and my daughter-in-law said there was nothing that could have made the holiday better! The quality of the accommodation and the range of children's activities is exceptional and all so authentic, genuine and wholesome. Our 2yr old grandchildren loved the ducks and chickens that wander free, and the soft play and zip wires were a hit. The pool is fabulous. It's a paradise. Thank you to the amazing Bosinver team.

Magical Bosinver

Bosinver is a magical place for small and ‘big’ children. Good honest family fun on a farm that is run by a lovely family team. We could not have picked a better place for our 3 generation family holiday. A wonderful place in an excellent location for other Cornish attractions - although there is so much fun to be had on site you may not want to venture out! We cannot recommend highly enough.

We keep returning .., for lots of reasons

This was the second time we visited. I rarely go back to the same venue but Bosinver is outstanding. Our daughter hugely enjoyed it at 18 months of age, hence returning 9 months later. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful (on each visit we had a very small, trivial point. and they addressed it immediately as if it was major). Both accommodation options have been perfect for our needs, the animal feeding and horse riding are big hits, as are the soft play, swimming pool …. The local frozen foods are delicious, there are plenty of nearby attractions …. Chances are we’ll be returning

The first trip of many to magical Bosinver!

We absolutely loved our trip to Bosinver. First time visitors with our two kids the cottage was really amazing but the team are what make it magic. They’ve thought of so many tiny details to make the trip easy and comfortable the facilities are excellent. The biggest compliment we can pay is that, this is the first time we’ve ever left a holiday and discussed booking another trip back the very next year!

Incredible for families!

Our 3rd visit, this time stayed in Lowen which we have found to be the best cottage so far. The cottage was well equipped and everything clean and felt like a ‘home from home’. All staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The highlight of our stay is always the morning feed with farmer Dave. The exclusive use of the swimming pool, the soft play barn, the pony ride and danger trail made this trip ideal for us as a family with 2 children (4&2). Nanny pats books are great for recommendations for days out. Already looking forward to returning again next year!

Worth six stars IMHO

Our second stay here and this time just the two of us, rather than a larger family group. I think there are two things which stand out as contributing to its appeal and success: one is that these are proper houses, built to a modern specification, and in such a way that it is, indeed, like a village. The second thing is that unlike a more usual holiday let, they are beautifully furnished and equipped. Add to that, space for the children to do things, an indoor pool, animals for them to interact with, and an excellent central location in Cornwall; what more can one ask for?

Brilliant family friendly accommodation

Top notch family friendly accommodation with loads of free extras which children/ grandchildren will love. We couldn’t find fault with our cottage. There are all the mod cons and all those helpful items needed when there are small people in the party. Super bookable swimming pool and exercise room on site. Walkable to local pub serving great food.

Out of this world

Our visit to Bosinver with our two daughters, son-in-law and granddaughter enabled us to revisit happy memories and make new ones having first visited 25 years ago. It continues to be a wonderful place with amazing attention to detail, spotless cleanliness, endless things to do on site, fantastic hosts - all in all out of this world!
