Designed with the British weather in mind, not to mention all those people who aren't interested in roughing it on their holidays, The Beeches is the ultimate luxury glamping site. As the owners Fiona and Glen attest, “The adults love to go into a comfortable bed in the evening and have a nice hot shower in their pod without having to go to a communal shower block”. Not only that, it's just a stone's throw from vibrant surfer town Newquay, yet far enough away to retreat from the summer throng, making it a perfect retreat for young families on holiday in Cornwall. Plus they’ve got hot tubs!

The Beeches is made up of four Scandi-style pods, each comfortably accommodation 4–5 people and fitted out with en-suite shower rooms, Smart TVs and double beds. Each has a fully fitted kitchen with fridge/freezer, sink, a 2-ring induction hob, microwave, toaster and kettle, underfloor heating and wifi. There’s plenty of space on the site for the kids to run amok but remain within view of their parents – "It's one of the things the guests love most about the place — it’s very safe for children,” says Fiona, who with her husband and four children has created a playground for adults and children alike.

As well as the luxury pods, there are various additions that give The Beeches a bit of extra character: two of the pods have wood-fired hot tubs, dogs are permitted to stay in the WIllow and Hazel pods, and there is a separate undercover barbecue area that seats 10 and has mood lighting and a Bluetooth speaker. There is a laundry room with an honesty box offering the use of a washing machine and tumble dryer, and for larger groups or extended family gatherings, the whole place is available for exclusive hire.

It's a tremendous location, no question, not far from the A30 and yet also close to the many beaches of Fistral or Newquay Bay. The village of Mitchell, just a mile away, has a terrific local pub and you're well placed for visiting many of the other delights of central Cornwall – the magnificent beaches at Perranporth and Mawgan Porth to the north, plus Mevagissey, Fowey and Truro to the south and east. In short, The Beeches makes for a much better family holiday than a boring hotel or cottage, and is a big step up from regular camping!

Facilities

All of our glamping pod include your own private shower room with shower, basin and toilet. Our pods have underfloor heating, electricity and Smart TV’s so are suitable for all weathers. Each pod also has it's own firepit with BBQ grill. A starter kit of logs and firelighters will be provided to get you started and you can purchase more in our shop.

In addition to our amazing pods, our convenient location and spectacular views, we have some other facilities on our site for our guests to enjoy.

The Hut

We have an BBQ hut which can seat 10 people and is undercover so is perfect for BBQ’s in all weathers. This is available to hire for the evening, please contact us for more information.

Honesty Shop

We have a small honesty shop stocking essential items. You can purchase extra logs, eggs, tea bags, marshmallows, ice cream, cold drinks and other essentials you may have forgotten to bring.

Playing field

We have a large field in front of the pods so there is plenty of space to run around and play games. We have a selection of garden games for our guests to use during their stay. There is an electric gate at the entrance to the site so children cannot escape but please do supervise your children at all times.

Bathroom

We have a family bathroom with a bath, shower, toilet and basin which can be used by families who require a bath or more space to bath/shower their children.

Laundry

We have a laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer for our guests to use. We also provide a clothes airer in each pod for hanging clothes/towels.

Suitable For

We welcome dogs in two of our pods (Willow & Hazel).

We do not allow Stag or Hen parties.

The person making the booking must be over 21 years of age and there must be at least one adult over 21 staying in each pod.

We very much welcome families and have a large playing field for children to run around.

Nearby

The Beeches Glamping is the perfect base from which to explore Cornwall.

We are very centrally located in mid Cornwall just 1 mile from the main A30 route. We are located just 6 miles from Newquay and 8 miles from Truro. Our central location makes us an ideal base to explore Cornwall.

Food & Drink

The nearest local shop is in Summercourt, 2 miles away (TR8 5DN). There are plenty of supermarkets in Newquay – Morrisons, Lidl, Aldi, Sainsburys and Asda and a big Tesco in Truro.

There are many cafes, bars and restaurants in and around Newquay. The Plume of Feathers is a lovely pub serving fantastic food located 1 mile away in our local village, Mitchell. The Fox's Revenge in Summercourt is a 5 minute drive away and is another great place to eat, there is a big Tipee in the garden and great food and atmosphere.

We would love to welcome you to our glamping site situated 6 miles from Newquay. We have spectacular views of the countryside and our guests can experience the great outdoors while enjoying luxury pod accommodation. Breathe in the fresh country air, enjoy the starry skies while soaking in the hot tub and make memories toasting marshmallows around the fire.

We have 4 luxury glamping pods, two of these come with a private wood-fired hot tub. Our accommodation is perfect for lovers of the outdoors, families, couples, walkers, cyclists, or anyone who would like to explore Cornwall and enjoy the great outdoors. We also welcome dogs in two of our pods.

Brilliant break

Spent a 3 day break here the pod was exceptional and very well equipped. The hot tub was a delight . The beeches is well situated to explore Cornwall. I would happily recommend staying here and will visit again in the near future
