Proprietor and local artist Max Harrower opened the Toe in the Water to showcase (and sell) his own large digital canvasses, along with works of his friends and fellow Cornish artists. The work changes regularly, with a lot of one-off crafty things and paintings. More discerning than some, the Toe sticks to a sea/coastal theme (‘we don’t do flowery stuff’ says Max) but there’s still a refreshing enthusiasm and diversity apparent in the well-stocked shop. A truly local gallery thats been set up by someone with a passion for art and the area he calls home - well worth a visit for those who want an artist's perspective of Fowey and perhaps a handcrafted gift to take home.
