Step inside and feel instantly at home beneath its low beamed ceilings – it's been beautifully restored, and has a rustic character that blends seamlessly with contemporary comforts. In a ground-floor open-plan space, there's a lovely farmhouse-style kitchen with a Butler sink and a range cooker, a dinign area for two and a cosy sitting area with TV and a bluetooth speaker. If the weather plays ball, you can fire up the garden barbecue and dine under the stars in your private garden. Upstairs is a beautifully presented super-king-size bedroom nestled under the eaves, and a bathroom with a a bath and separate shower.
The other great thing abotu Swallows' Cottage is that there is so much to do nearby: you can wander along the River Fal, spotting wildlife, hop aboard the King Harry Ferry or head to Restronguet Creek for kayaking, paddleboarding, and a meal at the famous Pandora Inn. Walkers and cyclists will also love the numerous routes including the trail to Malpas and beyond. You can visit the National Trust's Trelissick Garden, which has wooded trails and panoramic river views, and Truro – Cornwall;s only city – is a short drive away, as is the nearby coast.
