YHA Canterbury YHA
Just outside the ringroad that girdles Canterbury's historic centre, this YHA hostel is housed in a redbrick Victorian mansion and has a choice of accommodation – from beds in eight multi-bedded rooms containing between four and six beds and with shared facilities to seven private rooms with en-suite bathrooms. There's a dining room, a lounge and a self-catering kitchen, and outside they have some new 'Arctic Cabins' which can comfortably sleep four if you'd rather go for a glamping vibe. Above all it's a friendly place, ultra-clean and very well-run, and well-positioned just a ten-minute walk from the cathedral and Canterbury's city centre. A great budget choice for a weekend in in the city, whether you're a keen hosteller or a novice.
