This official YHA hostel consistently gets rave reviews from visitors of all ages. It’s clean and comfortable, with a small restaurant, and offers breakfast, too. It has a TV lounge, laundry, cafe bar (which can sometimes be noisy at night) and wi-fi. Family rooms are available, along with cot facilities – it's best to request these at time of booking. Both en-suite rooms and private rooms are available, as well as standard dormitories. There's also free luggage storage, for those wanting to explore the city more once they've checked out. The hostel is well-located, just a 30 second stroll from the train station (another reason to bring your ear plugs) and a short five minute walk to the city centre. A word of warning: in the week there are often school groups and lots of teenagers – rise early for the best of breakfast! There is no parking on site – the closest facilities are found on the Park-and-Ride around five minutes away.
