Lambs Pavilion is the creation of acclaimed conservation architect Nick Groves-Raines and Icelandic architect and painter, Kristin Hannesdottir, which sits adjacent from their family home, the restored 17th Century, A listed Lamb’s House.

Lying within the core of the medieval Leith Conservation Area, the house and site, previously owned by The National Trust is of particular historic interest. Built in 1610, by Hanseatic merchant Andrew Lamb is was one of the finest merchant's houses in Scotland which is reputed to have entertained Mary Queen of Scots when she arrived to claim the Scottish throne.

Following the restoration of the historic house, Nick and Kristin created their dream neo-Georgian style pavilion complete with an ogee roof and Renaissance inspired garden, embracing architectural heritage and contemporary living in perfect harmony.

This romantic little house has been designed with meticulous detail, with the antique interiors reflecting the period of the main house combined with a Scandinavian influence of calming colours and simple, relaxed living. In true Scandinavian style the house has been designed upside down with the living areas on the top floor and bedrooms on the middle and ground levels adding to the uniqueness of this property.

The house is beautifully finished with a touch of luxury and comfort, from the under floor heating, careful consideration given to the beds, linen and other furnishings; as well as being welcomed to an open fire, tea, coffee and fruit.

The Pavilion is located in buzzing cultural hub of Leith, right on The Shore surrounded by a number of Michelin Star restaurants, farmers’ markets, artisan providers, pubs, shops and attractions; and only a short bus ride from the door step to the city centre

It is stunning, unique and quirky and echoes style and luxury.
