The Resident, Edinburgh

A stylish city hotel in a great Edinburgh location
Tucked away in between Edinburgh’s handsome New Town and its more funky West End, The Resident is cool, contemporary and very well located. But it's homley too, and goes the extra mile for its guests, in a location that feels a million miles away from its 1960s office-block conversion. It's in a great location, and despite not having a restaurant is the sort of place you want to come back to after after long day's sightseeing. And there's a lot to see in Edinburgh!
Its 164 guest rooms are very well designed: modern yet cosy, light and airy, with floor to ceiling windows good sized beds – some with views of Edinburgh's famous Castle – Smart TVs, good WiFi, cute en-suite bathrooms, tea and coffee (including Nespresso machines) and kitchenettes with fridges and microwaves.
There's a lovely downstairs lounge where they serve complimentary drinks and snacks every evening. There's no restaurant, but who needs it? There are lots of really good breakfast places nearby, and you're footsteps from great local cafés and restaurants in both the West End and the New Town; Princes Street is five minutes, and the Old Town is only a twenty-minute walk away; and it's just a five-minute walk to picturesque Dean Village.
All in all at The Resident, you're close to Edinburgh's main action, but it's a very peaceful spot, and a nice neighbourhood too!
