Yennadon Cottage

A comfortable, end-of-terrace holiday cottage with great views over the grounds and surrounding countryside, Yennadon Cottage is situated on the rather wonderful Gitcombe Estate in South Devon, just outside the South Hams village of Cornworthy. It shares the space with a handful of other holiday cottages,  but there's a real getting-away-from-it-all vibe here, and the grounds of the Gitcombe estate feature all sorts of additional benefits,  including two swimming pools, a sauna and steam room, tennis courts and a children's playground and indoor games room.

Sleeping up to 4 people in comfort, the two-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage boasts a large and very light vaulted living area with comfy sofas, flatscreen TV and a wood-burning stove, and a well-fitted kitchen-dining space. There are two bedrooms on the lower ground floor – a decent-sized double room with en-suite shower room and a spacious twin-bedded room, plus a family bathroom. There is underfloor heating throughout and the living area gives onto a lovely private roof terrace with sensational views over the Dartmoor National Park. 

This house is so comfortable you may not want to leave but it would be a pity not to explore the estate and make the most of its many activities, including the pool and tennis court. Bear in mind also that this is a beautiful part of Devon's South Hams, a few minutes' inland from Dartmouth and Blackpool Sands. Dartmoor and the busy market town of Totnes are also close by, as are the seaside resorts of Salcombe, Bigbury and the beaches at Hope Cove and Thurlestone. All in all, Yennadon Cottage is a perfect place for a any sort of Devon holiday – for a family, a group of friends, or even as a spacious romantic retreat.
