It’s hard to believe that it’s more than ten years since we published the first edition of our book,
the Cool Camping guide to Glamping Getaways. Since then, ‘glamorous camping’ has enjoyed a
huge rise in popularity, with the result that ‘glamping’ now encompasses anything from a simple
bell tent in a muddy field to some of the most luxurious accommodation you’ll find anywhere.
In Britain, more than anywhere else, glamping has seen a huge groundswell of enthusiasm, driven both by the explosion of high-end glamping and dramatic
innovations in the type of accommodation on offer. From yurts, shepherds huts and bell tents, to pods, tipis, treehouses, converted trains, airstreams and UFOs and much much more, there's something to excite even the most traditional of holiday-goer, and rest assured, you'll always find yourself in top-tier luxury.
