Upmarket glamping usually means shepherds huts or safari tents, but at the delightfully named Glamp and Tipple at Rookery Farm in South Norfolk, they've managed to stay true to their roots while still offering about as luxurious a glamping experience as you'll find. This small, luxury, five yurt site is very versatile and well-equipped for both families and couples, not to mention a fantastic option if you're planning a birthday party or special event for a larger group.
There are just five super-spacious yurts in all, each one of which is heated and fitted out with a proper bed while retaining all the back-to-nature charm of the glamping experience, with a log burner, twinkling fairylights, undercover cooking space, barbecue, picnic table, firepit and private covered wood-fired hot tub just steps from your door. Each yurt has a designated on site private bathroom with flushing toilet and a power shower. You also have unlimited electricity, WIFI and free parking for the duration of your stay.
There is a shared covered communal area with chill-out space, pool table, darts, table football, table tennis and giant outdoor games. There are also lots of optional extras to choose from such as in-yurt cinemas, decoration packages, private beauty treatments, pizza oven hire, and onsite bespoke catering if you want it – just bring the bubbly. Indeed even the yurt themselves are individually named after champagne brands!
Don't forget also that you're in Norfolk and there's lots to explore in this thoroughly rural county, with oodles of country walks, country pubs, the Broads National Park on your doorstep and the lure of Breckland and the vast expanse of Thetford Forest a short drive away. But the real reason for staying is in the name. This is a place to relax and take a break, to enjoy the outdoors with a glass of champagne in hand, where you can forget about the stress of daily life and spend your evening doing what you’re meant to: glamping and tippling!

- YES! If the dates you are booking for are 8 weeks or more in the future then we just require a 30% deposit at the time of booking.
- Balance payments for all bookings are required no later than 8 weeks prior to the date of arrival.
Each luxury, heated yurt is fully furnished and set up with a super comfy, ready made proper kingsize beds and single/double futon-style beds with luxury thick toppers, throws and cushions!
They have a log burner, a fridge/freezer, internal folding dining table & chairs, towels, spa robes, kettle, full electric, TV, free WIFI and galaxy projectors for a magical in yurt experience. There are also hot water bottles, and you are given a starter kit of matches, firelighters, heat logs and kindling (more is available to purchase on site during your stay).
Outside each yurt has a fully equipped kitchen area with double gas hob, barbecue (charcoal is not provided but is sold on site in the shop), fire pit and outdoor seating.
Each yurt has a designated on site PRIVATE flushing toilet and shower unit. Your bathroom is is fully heated with an electric towel rail and has a hairdryer and toiletries provided.
Extras include movie projectors, beauty treatments, farm hampers/packs, private dining experiences, bespoke yurt decorations and many more!
There’s a shared covered games area with a table football table, table tennis, darts, contactless pool table, badminton/volleyball, giant outdoor games and board games. There is also a children’s playground and an honesty shop on site.
You may bring up to 2 dogs per family/yurt for £18 per dog per stay. This charge is for the additional cleaning required after your stay and a welcome pack for your four legged friend.

Sitting close to the border with Suffolk, all of the attractions of East Anglia are within reasonable reach. Norwich is a half hour drive (20 miles) away, with The Norfolk Broads stretching towards the coast just beyond the city. Thetford Forest Park is 20 miles in the other direction. The closest beaches are an hour away and the North Norfolk Coast, a little more.
Food & Drink
There’s an honesty shop with the basics on site and you couldn’t get much closer to the nearest farm shop; Rookery Meadows, just across the field and offering all sorts of local produce including breakfast boxes with everything you need for a full English.
For a meal or drink out, you can walk to The Crown in Great Ellingham (01953 797070) a mile away. Or perhaps try The White Hart in Hingham (01953 850214) or The Mulberry Tree (01953 452124), White Lodge (01953 799459) or Breckland Lodge (01953 455202) in Attleborough. All are within five miles of site.

Luxury Yurt and Cabin Glamping in the Heart of Norfolk
Glamp & Tipple is a small, exclusive luxury glamping site set within peaceful Norfolk farmland. Open all year round, we offer beautifully appointed yurts and cabins where guests can relax, reconnect and enjoy the countryside without sacrificing their home comforts.
Alongside our five established luxury yurts, we are delighted to introduce four brand-new luxury cabins, opening and available for stays from 26th March 2027. With nine individually styled accommodation units, Glamp & Tipple is perfect for romantic breaks, family holidays, celebrations and exclusive group stays.
Every yurt and cabin has its own private wood-fired hot tub, giving guests the perfect place to unwind beneath the Norfolk skies.
Our Five Luxury Yurts
Our five spacious, heated yurts—Moët, Pérignon, Krug, Taittinger and Bollinger—each have their own distinctive theme, colour scheme and character.
Inside each yurt, you will find a king-size main bed, along with single or double futon sofa beds and floor futon mattresses. The exact sleeping arrangements vary depending on the yurt and the number of guests staying. All beds are prepared with cosy teddy bear fleece bedding, mattress toppers, throws and cushions. One towel is provided per person, together with robes for adults.
Each yurt also includes a galaxy projector, Bluetooth speaker, clothes storage, a clothes airer, complimentary electricity and Wi-Fi. Please remember that we are in a rural location, so the internet service may not always be as reliable as it is at home. For entertainment, there is a Smart TV, with a DVD player available upon request.
For warmth and cooking, every yurt has a log-burning stove with an oven and fireguard, as well as an internal folding dining table and chairs. Kitchen facilities include a full-size fridge with a freezer compartment, kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, tea towels, a teapot and a cafetière. You will also find an electric kettle, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and mini marshmallows.
Hot-water bottles and a torch are provided, along with a starter supply of heat logs, kindling, firelighters and matches. Additional heat logs, kindling and firelighters can be purchased on-site. Each yurt also contains cleaning equipment, a fire extinguisher, fire blanket, first-aid kit, carbon monoxide detector and smoke detector.
Outside each yurt, you will have your own private, covered, wood-fired hot tub complete with jets and lights. There is also a covered outdoor kitchen area equipped with a double gas camping stove and unlimited gas, a selection of saucepans and frying pans, a large 11-litre casserole or stock pot and a large water container.
For outdoor cooking, you will find a Kadai firepit with BBQ equipment, together with a tripod and Dutch oven. Each yurt also has its own picnic table, with a parasol available upon request, as well as BBQ cleaning equipment and two large waste bins.
Whether you are planning a romantic escape, a family adventure or a cosy winter break, our yurts offer a truly magical glamping experience throughout every season.
Four Brand-New Luxury Cabins—Opening March 2027
We are excited to be expanding Glamp & Tipple with the addition of four brand-new luxury wooden cabins.
The cabins are available to book now for stays from 26th March 2027 onwards, giving guests even more choice when planning a luxurious Norfolk escape.
Designed to combine rustic character with modern comfort, each new cabin will accommodate up to four guests and include a luxurious king-size bed, a double sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen, a smart TV, Wi-Fi and unlimited electricity. Heavy floor-to-ceiling drapes can be drawn between the sleeping and living areas to provide additional privacy.
Every cabin will have its own private wood-fired hot tub, outdoor seating and cooking facilities. Two of the new cabins, Veuve and Roederer, will also feature their own private four-person barrel sauna with panoramic glass window.
Please note that images of the new cabins are currently for illustration purposes. The finished cabins will include all the facilities described and will be completed to the exceptional standards, thoughtful design and attention to detail for which Glamp & Tipple is known.

Our exclusive-hire packages can accommodate groups from 18 guests, with a maximum capacity of up to 74 guests when additional furnished bell tents are included. Across the site, groups can enjoy nine luxury accommodation units, nine private wood-fired hot tubs, two private saunas and generous communal spaces.
We can also help you create a bespoke stay with decorations, workshops, activities, catering and other carefully selected extras. Certain group packages include access to the site on the day before the main weekend, providing valuable additional time for setting up and preparing for your celebration.

The nearest train station is Attleborough, just under four miles away. From here book a taxi or call your campsite hosts as they can sometimes offer a pick-up service.
