This top quality watering-hole with seven luxe rooms is located in a prime City location, just a 2-minute walk from Liverpool Street train and tube stations and a 10-minute jaunt from Bank. Each bedroom is characterful, cosy and individually furnished, making it the ideal place to lay your head after a day out in the capital or a business meeting in the Square Mile. Opt for Fisher's Folly, named after a house built on the site in 1550, and enjoy soothing neutral tones, goose down duvets and pillows, and a 24-hour complimentary pantry, or go for the Hush Heath Suite, called after their vineyard in Kent, and be greeted by a capacious and comfy space with a private balcony overlooking Devonshire Row, underfloor heating in the bathroom, a rainfall shower and extra large bath.

Downstairs in the pub, not only do they pull a mean pint – alongside offering a handful of wines from their estate, including a pale, dry Provence-style rosé and an elegant and aromatic white – but they also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with menus celebrating the historic food markets of London. Fish comes from Billingsgate and meat from Smithfield. Choose from classics such as Scotch egg with curried mayo, fish and chips, pie of the day, and burgers, or sample one of their flatbreads topped with all manner of delights, including pulled pork shoulder, barbecue sauce, jalapeños and Cheddar or Lancashire ham, cheese, chorizo and tomato. The spot is just a 7-minute walk from Old Spitalfields Market with it's stalls, shops and street food, 13-minutes from the Barbican Centre and 15-minutes from London Bridge; there's plenty of things to do and see within strolling distance, and an array of restaurants and bars too.
