First the rooms, which consist of seven doubles and one twin and are spacious, bright and very comfortable, and come with king-size Hypnos beds and good quality linen, furniture, tea- and coffee-making facilities that include Nespresso coffee machines, Smart TVs and decent Wi-Fi. They all have good-sized en-suite bathrooms with powerful showers and toiletries, air-conditioning and double-glazing to reduce street noise. Oh, and a continental breakfast bag is provided to your room, too.
There's a relaxed dog-friendly bar for drinks downstairs, and they serve a moderately priced menu of steaks, salads, burgers and pasta plus sharing platters and sandwiches, and a good selection of roasts on Sundays. You're a short walk from Hammersmith Bridge and a selection of riverside pubs, shops and a tube station, while in the opposite direction, Barnes Wetland Centre is a compelling draw, as are nearby Richmond Park and Kew Gardens.
