Tucked just beyond the narrow lanes of Marazion, and blessed with incredible views of Mounts Bay and St Michael’s Mount, the Mount Haven is a smart yet unpretentious hotel and restaurant for all occasions, from a romantic holiday to a pit stop along the South West Coast Path. If you want a swanky hotel close to Penzance and the wild, western tip of Cornwall, you can bag a four-poster suite or boutique balcony room here with all the trimmings you’d expect of top-notch accommodation (including posh toiletries and spa treatments). Local artwork adorns the walls and sculptures adorn the hallways and living spaces, but every area from the lounge and terrace to the restaurant beckons you to relax and enjoy the sea views. It's also a consistent name in the Michelin Guide and Good Food Guide, so you don’t need to be resident at the Mount Haven to enjoy eating here. Whether you want a Cornish crab sandwich after a dog-walk on the beach, morning coffee with a view, or a three-course gourmet dinner conjured from local ingredients, this is one of the best dining venues in the area.

The Owner Says

In 2001 we bought the best view in the world and set about creating an hotel to match.   In a stressful world we all need somewhere to retreat to.  To feel comfortable and relaxed, where we are able to totally unwind and enjoy nature and benefit from all it's magic.   Resisting the urge of the 'me too' coastal design, our travels through the Far East have deeply influenced our interiors and design as we found it so therapeutic ourselves.   The building is an old coach house dating from the 1840s and we have worked closely with award-winning London architects to make the best use of the size and space to best enjoy the view.

We have a brilliant young team of Chefs, headed by Nathan Williams, who never tire of creating the most wonderful dishes from all the best of local ingredients.  In fact we have been  awarded 2 AA rosettes for fine dining.  A rare honour.   Even our bread, ice-creams and chocolates are created in-house.     No need to wander far for the best food.  Just book your table at the bar.

Our favourite room

There are only 18 bedrooms, of all sorts of shapes and sizes (speak to us to discuss which best suits your needs)  and the atmosphere is professional but relaxed and relaxing.

The local area

If you feel like getting out and about then west Cornwall has no competition for beauty , be it coastal, beaches, gardens or the wild moors and sacred sites all within a few miles of us.

Why stay with us?

Mount Haven is now famous for the incredible of team of top therapists who are dedicated to health and well-being.    From deep tissue massage, reiki, reflexology and hot stones massage to emotional freedom technique.  There is no better way of doubling the benefit of a short or long break than to include some therapies.    And better still, all the profits from the therapies go to support a school and home for street kids in India which we have been supporting for 8 years now.
