A short ferry hop across the river from Fowey, Hormond House is an exceptionally peaceful and welcoming home-from-home. A small, family-run B&B, it’s as charming as any chic boutique place but without the pretensions. There are three guest rooms, one of which is an enormous family room with an open fire to keep you cosy in winter. All rooms are en-suite and can be accessed from a separate entrance. Home-cooked breakfasts are served in the family kitchen and a friendly dog only helps add to the welcoming feel. A charming house in a charming spot, owners Chris and Bella are helpful hosts and will set you up for a wonderful stay in Polruan.
