Haytor Cottage

A comfortable, mid-terrace holiday cottage with great views over the grounds and surrounding countryside, Haytor Cottage is situated on the rather wonderful Gitcombe Estate in South Devon, just outside the South Hams village of Cornworthy. It shares the space with a handful of other holiday cottages,  but there's a real getting-away-from-it-all vibe to the place. The grounds of the Gitcombe estate are enormous, featuring all sorts of additional activities including two swimming pools, a sauna and steam room, tennis courts and a children's playground and indoor games room, so there's no chance of getting bored.

Sleeping up to 6 people, the three-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage, boasts a large open-plan living area featuring a large dining space, a living area with comfy sofas and a wood-burning stove and a beautifully fitted country-style kitchen. The three bedrooms include a spacious double room with en-suite shower, a homely bedroom with twin beds and a cosy bunk-bedded room for the kids (under-12s only). The house also benefits form its own enclosed roof terrace.

Haytor Cottage is as comfy as it gets so while here you might not want to move very far, but it would be a shame not to explore estate and its the many and varied facets and facilities, including the pool and tennis court. Bear in mind too that you are in a highly desirable part of the South Hams, just a few minutes' inland from Dartmouth and Blackpool Sands in one direction and the busy market town of Totnes in the other. Dartmoor too is close by, as are the seaside resorts of Salcombe, Bigbury and the beaches at Hope Cove and Thurlestone. In short Haytor Cottage is a perfect place for a any sort of Devon family holiday or getaway with a group of friends.
