The Owner Says
The Old Church Hall is located directly opposite the historic church in the tiny Kentish village of Ruckinge. This quirky building has been converted in to a stylish holiday home which sleeps up to eight (plus a child). The large open-plan living area combines a modern kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a log burner in one cosy corner. The character of the hall has been retained here with some original fixtures and fittings and a double height ceiling. At the far end, a mezzanine bedroom offers a family room with a compact en suite shower room. There are two further double rooms (one with an en suite shower room), a twin room and a family bathroom downstairs.
The Old Church Hall is ideal for a large family or small group of friends who enjoy cooking and eating together and will enjoy its location in the heart of a quiet village with the Kent countryside beyond. This quirky cottage has limited outdoor space but manages to fit in a pizza oven, BBQ and, tucked behind the property, a hot tub (for use until 9.30pm only).
This unique holiday home is just over an hour’s drive from London and less than 25 miles from the Channel Tunnel. It's a lovely place for country walks and a great location from which to explore Romney Marsh, the beaches of the Kent coast and the historic towns of Hythe, Rye and Tenterden. There are plenty of family friendly attractions within driving distance too including Port Lympne Reserve Wild Animal Park and the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway.
