Looking to book a self-catering property in East Yorkshire? Search no further than Broadgate Farm Cottages, set in a prime location on the edge of the glorious Wolds. With a range of high-end dwellings situated on a nineteen-acre farmstead just two miles from the historic market town of Beverley and only twelve from Hull, this is a gem of a rural spot. No wonder the owners have won numerous accolades, including REYTA tourism awards.
Sleeping from four to twelve, the characterful places to stay began life as period barns or farm buildings. Lovingly and skilfully converted using reclaimed natural materials and decorated using top-notch furnishings and opulent fabrics, each individually designed cottage is dog-friendly and benefits from toasty eco-friendly central heating and a private garden or patio area. Stay in two-bed The Forge and enjoy a mix of oak and travertine flooring, a wood-burner, fully fitted kitchen and French windows – detached, two-bed and overlooking the paddocks and Blackmeredale Bottom, back in the day it was a blacksmiths shop. Bigger groups should opt for capacious Cart House: with space for 9 guests (and up to 2 children on put up beds), underfloor heating and ground floor bedrooms (all en-suite), it's a stylish choice, and great for large parties too – as are the linked Barn House and Fold Yard, with a duo of sitting rooms and two wet rooms. Whichever cottage you go for, you'll be be greeted by wonderful views from the farm across the fields and a high level of quality throughout. What's more, spa treatments and private chefs are available to book, making stays even more special.
Out and about, it's a mile to Walkington, a picturesque village with three inviting pubs, or for a scenic stroll wander down onto the Westwood. Slightly further afield – just half an hour away by car – head to the beaches of Hornsea and Fraisthorpe, or visit Burton Agnes, the impressive Elizabethan stately home. Nature lovers won't want to miss Tophill Low – a haven for otters – whilst North Cave Wetlands is known for kingfishers and peregrine falcons. There are ample walking and cycling opportunities too, including the Minster and Wilberforce Ways. Whatever the activity, know that at the end of the day it's back to the comfort and luxury of Broadgate Farm Cottages.

Lovely week in East Yorkshire
We loved staying at Broadgate Farm in The Stables cottage. It was so comfortable and well equipped in a lovely location. An ideal base for nearby Beverley which has some lovely shops , supermarkets & restaurants. We landed on a week when the Beverley Races were on and this is a great day out. We also visited Hull, Hornsea,Bridlington,Filey and York. We had a car but we also used the train from Beverley and took a bus from nearby Market Weighton into York which passes through some pretty villages. There are lots more places you can visit from this area, the owners have an excellent information folder and leaflets in the cottage. We also enjoyed a walk along to the beautiful village of Walkington. and my husband also enjoyed some super cycling routes in the area.
It was very peaceful to come back to the cottage after being out for the day and enjoy the pretty garden area.
The jute shopping bag, beer and biscuits left for us was a welcome touch and we would highly recommend these cottages to other people. T A Aug 19

Excellent 3 bedroom cottage in a good location
My family recently stayed in The Granary at Broadgate Farm Cottagesy. It is our third time staying in the Cottages. The Granary has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the 1st floor and a large living room, kitchen and toilet on the ground floor. It was just the right size for our family of my wife, myself, our 2 daughters, husband and 2 grandchildren. Just outside the front door is a large grass area that was ideal for our 2 grandsons to play. There is a private courtyard at the back of the cottage, which we used extensively during the evenings to relax after a long day. We had a small family get together and used the entire facility to great effect. Very good accommodation, with easy access to East Yorkshire. The owner s (Elaine and Steve) are great to work with and very responsive. I recommend this to everyone that wants to visit the area. TA Jul 19
