Bantham Surfing Academy

Situated right on unspoilt and lovely Bantham beach, this friendly surf academy offers group and private lessons for beginners, improver sessions, kids' classes and surfing parties. Bantham offers the most consistently surfable waves in South Devon; it's a great little surf spot, but has constantly shifting riptides, so a lesson is wise for surfers of all abilities to ensure you can make the most of it. Highly experienced tutors are equally adept and enthusiastic with beginners and those looking to take their surfing to another level. All the kit is provided to keep you safe and warm during your lesson – you can also just hire boards and wetsuits from the school. The beach itself is situated four miles west of Kingsbridge, and is a private beach. Parking costs from £3.50 - £5.50 during the season - the occasional free parking spot can be found in the pretty village, from where it's a scenic walk to the beach.
