You couldn't get much more central to the New Forest than by staying in this sumptuous spa hotel located in the heart of the national park, just outside Brockenhurst. The larger, older sister of the excellent Montagu Arms in nearby Beaulieu, many people come here for spa breaks, and we don't blame them – the SenSpa here is as good as it gets – but we also just love the location, which is hard to beat, right on the doorstep of the walks, cycle rides and wildlife that make this part of the country so special.
The rooms – 77 in all – are spacious and comfortable, some with big double doors opening out on to the hotel's gardens. Others – located in the original manor house – are quirkier and more individual, and some of these feature four-poster beds. All the rooms are well-equipped and have large en-suite bathrooms, robes and toiletries, free wifi and flatscreen TVs, though if you want some real head-in-the-clouds luxury, check out the suites – The Manor Suite has recently been beautifully renovated, while the Thai-inspired Rosewood Suite is handy for the spa and has a massive 7-foot-wide bed. Of course, all guests have full access to the large swimming pool and the gym, and can pay a bit extra to enjoy the full array of spa facilities, including the sauna, steam room and hydrotherapy pool (though inclusive spa breaks are available too). There is also a self-catering cottage in the grounds that sleeps up to 7 and is set in its own gardens.
Finally there's the Cambium restaurant, which is one of the best places to eat for miles around – though admittedly quite posh and pretty pricey. If you want something simpler, Le Blaireau is a decent bar and brasserie and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as does the sublime Zen Garden, where the Thai food is fab.

Relaxing and enjoyable stay
You recognise a quality place by the staff. I liken as this to a swan serenely and effortlessly gliding down the river, but underneath paddling like mad to make it look that way. Thank you Shaz and your splendid team. Memorable.

What a fabulous hotel!
My friend and I have known each other for over 50 years and were well overdue for a very long catch up! The Careys Manor was just the place. Every member of staff was friendly, cheerful and willing to go over and above to make our stay perfect. The food at the Thai restaurant not only looked beautiful, but tasted amazing. So fresh that we could taste every ingredient. The spa treatments, although pricey, were wonderfully therapeutic and we can't wait to go back again for more of the same! Thank you to every member of your team, especially Susie, Lisa, Shaz, Moat, Morn and Marion for everything you do to make your guests feel so special.

Can't wait to come back!
Stayed here while I was working cover in another store of my company and it was amazing! The room was beautiful with plenty of room and a lovely relaxing balcony with view to the garden. The Senspa's steam room and Jacuzzi was just the ticket after a day at work. The continental breakfast was included in the room rate and it was delicious with so much variety! And the cooked breakfast options looked tempting with not too big an extra price. The hotel has 2 restaurants and room service, I went to the French restaurant and the duck comfit was to die for, fell straight off the bone it was so soft! As for the staff, they couldn't be more helpful and accommodating; the first morning I had a nightmare trying to get hold of an Uber or taxi to get to work because the train strikes were on and the buses were infrequent; I went to the reception to ask for help and the receptionist got me a taxi booked immediately that arrived within 5 mins and got me to work in no time - they really looked after me. I can't wait to come back here with my partner for a longer stay and get to explore around Brockenhurst and Lymington area instead of just work 😊.

Friendly, relaxing break!
What can we say, other than FANTASTIC! Such a beautiful venue to relax and unwind for a few days for our mini-moon! We spent a lot of time at the Spa and the facilities are second to none. Incredibly clean, organised and most importantly, calming! A special shoutout to Amy, Lauren and Hazel within the Spa. So kind and informative. We truly cannot wait to return! Thank you all so much! 🥰

Could not have been better!
This is one of, if not, THE best hotel we have ever stayed at. Initially I spoke with the Operations Manager, Hannah Mason, who was extremely helpful, polite, professional and efficient. On arrival we were delighted with how beautiful the building itself looks and that it is so well maintained. Lots of character and exceptionally clean throughout. From the moment we made first contact until we left we could not fault it, they gave us a memorable, relaxing break. Stephen was really helpful and carried our bags to our room. On Reception, we were greeted by Elizabeth and Hassine who were also so helpful and lovely. Food was exceptional we enjoyed breakfast in the Cambium restaurant serving a fabulous and freshly coked breakfast as well as full continental and so much choice. Emese is the Breakfast Manager and together with her team of Daisy, Rosie, Moat, Katie and Ming looked after us and, we noticed, all the other guests incredibly well. They have three different restaurants for evening meals but we opted for the Zen which is a Thai restaurant and are so glad we did. They serve absolutely gorgeous, authentic food, so much so that we actually changed our plans and went there two night's running. Thanks to Tik, the Zen Manager, Mink the Assistant Manager and all the staff as they made our evening meals with them very special with incredibly tasty food and wonderful service. We did have a dessert from the Cambium and Daniel brought that up to our room as we opted for a room service. Daniel was so polite, professional and helpful. The Hotel also has a Spa which looks and smells fabulous and Ellie is incredibly obliging. The General Manager, Mr Steve Woodrow, clearly works very hard along with his team of amazing staff to give each guest a memorable, relaxing and special stay. Thank you all for giving us the break we had hoped for, we really appreciate it.

Stunning, inspiring, warm, friendly
We were recently hosted by Carey’s Manor for a Management meeting for 12 people, the staff were extremely friendly and courteous and attended to all our needs. The stunning location and ambience set the scene for us to gather inspiration and we came away with a clear plan for our Charity. The delicious buffet-style lunch was served and teas/coffees and water was served throughout… not forgetting the gorgeous chocolate brownie! We would highly recommend this venue for business meetings or otherwise!!

Wonderful experience
Wonderful facial from Steph in Sen Spa - really fabulous treatment. Such a warm and welcoming greeting from Shaz this morning when we arrived for breakfast. Delicious continental spread and good coffee ☕️. Thank you for making our spa and overnight stay such a great experience. We’ll be back soon Shaz - thank you 🤗 xx

Calmness Zenofified
Always a pleasure to visit this homely calm and friendly hotel. High-quality service - for example, Shaz - the waitress - whose conversation and attention was first class. But it is the zen-like calm and comfort which oozes through like the lemongrass fragrance. The pool, sauna and steam room all included, but pay extra for the spa treatments. Breakfasts are a treat, but cooked not an option. Tiny thing - they should drop using single-use plastic bottled water. Otherwise, this is as perfect a retreat as you can get for the price.

Careys Manor - a piece of heaven - treat yourself
I don’t know where to begin! I’ll start at the end. We had 2 days to regroup before boarding our transatlantic cruise from Southampton to New York. It was recommended that we stay at Carey’s Manor & SenSpa in Brockenhurst. WOW WOW this gem was more than we expected. Quaint, serene, beautiful, charming and elegant. We were greeted by Bruno who checked us weary travelers in and suggested we dine in their Thai restaurant - we give this fantastic restaurant a 10. Luis settled us in our charming room. Which was so cozy with fluffy pillows and blankets. Elizabeth got us on the right track for a nice walk into the village. Brockenhurst is charming and friendly and home to cows, donkeys, and horses that walk freely around the village. LOVED IT! Rose and Amelia were so gracious we’ll miss them all. Next time we go back to the UK we will surely stay at Carey’s Manor for more than 2 nights. There is so much more to this splendid retreat than we had time for.
Treat yourself - it doesn’t get much better!!!

Great overnight stay
Terrific staff and a very comfortable room. We had a superior garden room which was large and quiet. A private outdoor seating area overlooking the lovely grounds was also very pleasant. The spa was welcoming and all the facilities we used were clean..the booking system for the swimming pool ensuring that it wasn't too crowded, and 30-minute session was plenty for us. We didn't pay the supplement for the hydrotherapy spa which was controlled by wristband entry. I had a delightful full body massage and facial, 90 minutes of bliss. 10% off products was appreciated too. We used the French bistro Le Blaireau which was excellent. Friendly staff and service was attentive. Breakfast was a help-yourself buffet with plenty of choice. Would compliment all the staff throughout the establishment as obviously working hard to give a pleasant time to all clients.

Amazing host, amazing visit
We visited this wonderful hotel for our second time this year. Wow it's just lovely. The staff are courteous and extremely helpful and attentive. The food is just delicious. Shazz the amazing host for breakfast is just great, she really takes time to look after you and nothing is too much trouble. Shaz brings something special to this hotel - thank you. Lots of wonderful places to visit and things to do. The spa was brilliant and lovely to relax in.
Overall this hotel is honestly one of the best.

Just what we needed - Relaxing and Enjoyable
A lovely time at Careys Manor. We had mum and daughter time and could not have asked for anything better. A warm welcome on arrival, room was on the ground floor which was perfect. Beautiful views onto the garden. Close to the spa, amazing treatments and friendly staff. Our continental breakfast was delicious and such a widespread on offer. A special thank you to the lovely Shaz and her team Moat, Rosie, Nhun, DA and Peow. Shaz was so friendly and we loved coming down to breakfast for our chats with her. Enjoyed our coffee in the lovely room reading our book and then off to the spa for relaxing time. The treatments were first class. Everything was a short walk away. The Thai restaurant was lovely. Fabulous food, atmosphere, and service. The French restaurant was authentic and delicious food. Ending our stay with the English restaurant. Again, the food was delicious and presented well. We cannot fault our stay. Well worth it, and we will be back very soon. A lovely place to chill and unwind.

Senspa day package
We booked the day package that included lunch. My husband had a one-hour massage and I had a 30-minute session. The facilities are delightful. The main pool has a jacuzzi, loungers, sauna and steam room while the hydrotherapy area has another pool for relaxation (warmer with lots of jacuzzi features) and more steam, sauna and ice rooms. Well worth a visit.

Relaxing & Lovely Stay
Just returned from a one night stay and overall conclusion it was a lovely experience for the following reasons... Staff were welcoming and attentive. Customers services provided from reception, spa, to dinner in the lounge was excellent. The chocolate and card for the birthday celebrant placed in the room provided a personal and thoughtful touch. The Afternoon team at the Cambium and its settings was relaxing, underpinned by attentive staff. The chicken quinoa salad we had for dinner, from the all-day menu, was one of the best we've had - a shout-out to the Chef. The spa treatment was heavenly and loved by the birthday celebrant - a big thanks for making it a memorable experience. The facilities - pool, Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna - provided extra relaxation to a lovely weekend. If l had to provide any feedback it would be for the hot breakfast option to be included as part of the breakfast buffet offer. Paying separately for this seemed an unnecessary and extra expense. Will I recommend to family and friends? Yes l would.
