A stunning Exmoor holiday property that's perfect for exploring the national park.

We reckon there aren’t too many parts of the Southwest to match Exmoor, and of Exmoor holiday cottages not many place like this one –  a stunning dog friendly property just outside Withypool in the heart of the national park. Comfortably sleeping up 14 people, it’s a fabulous place for a family gathering or a friends’ get-together, right on the edge of the moor, with walks and cycle routes galore and the darkest of dark skies for stargazing in what was in fact Europe’s first official Dark Skies Reserve. With stabling facilities too, you can even bring your own horse – and there’s nowhere quite like Exmoor for horse-riding.

Exmoor Farmhouse, then, is no ordinary holiday property. Not only does it enjoy a very special location, it’s also beautifully furnished and decorated throughout. It’s super-cosy too, with underfloor heating, several living rooms with open fires, a games room, 7 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Downstairs, its very large kitchen equipped with no less than 4 dishwashers, an electric oven and hob and a large fridge-freezer. Next door there’s a dining room with floor-to-ceiling windows that give wonderful views over Exmoor, and at the other end of the house a centrepiece living room, with a massive fireplace to gather around. There is also a snug with a large TV, a study crammed with books and a games room with table football and ping pong. No excuse, then, for being bored on rainy days!

The property has a decent sized garden with a barbecue and lots of places to sit, eat and sunbathe. It's also within easy reach of the village, where there’s a shop, a tea room and a pub serving great food. You’re close to the small market town of Dulverton,  and Dunster with its castle, and across the moor the undeniable delights of the North Devon coast are within easy reach, whether it’s the Victorian resort of Lynton and Lynmouth or the slick surf spots of Croyde, Woolcamobe and around, with their tremendous beaches.
