Famous for its duck, and infamous for its dodgy decor and rushed service, Gold Mine is a popular spot that has kept its charm amongst the tourist tat on Queensway, and the food doesn't let you down either – even if the giant menu and tatty main room mean you could be in almost any Chinese restaurant in London. Keep it simple, and go for the roasted meat dishes – the duck, which is excellent, or the char siu pork.
