Wander over to Kensington Palace's Orangery on a Sunday afternoon, and you'll feel like royalty (though you may have to queue, unlike the Queen), not only due to the elegant surroundings but also because of the high-end yet simple food they serve: coffee and cakes, lovely hot lunches and sandwiches and afternoon tea. Above all it's a lovely place to have tea (they have 10 to choose from) and a cake or pastry, or if you fancy something more alcoholic, a glass of champagne on the terrace. It's a great way to top off a visit to the park, yet is just five minutes' from the tourist frenzy of Notting Hill Gate.
