Devoted to spreading the joys of table tennis and getting everyone in the mood for the Olympics, this street project is one of those liberatingly great ideas that makes you wonder why no one thought of it before: basically a network of ping pong tables all over the country set up for people to play whenever they feel like it, free of charge. There are over 600 tables in all, and quite a few located right across the capital – check the website for locations – as well as lots of other ping-pong events going on across the country until the middle of August.
