One of the finest addresses in Bath, the Queensberry is an impeccable, luxury hotel with highly personal service and effortlessly chic rooms. Set in another one of those Georgian townhouses that populate the city centre, this is a place of old-school charm crossed with contemporary style – the rooms are gorgeously vibrant, the bathrooms – on occasion – spectacular, while bespoke lighting and beautiful furniture illuminate even the regular 'classic' doubles. Solo travellers can grab a decent deal in the Club rooms, which are the smallest of all, but still prettily turned out – they just don't have a bathtub. Alternatively, for a statement stay, the Four Poster Suite can't be beat, with its giant, seven-foot-square bed and a free-standing bath in a bathroom the size of Luxembourg.
In-house food and drink is courtesy of the Michelin-starred Olive Tree fine-dining restaurant, where highly regarded six- and nine-course, seasonally changing, tasting menus make any stay even more special. And even parking is a cinch – let the valet take care of it all, it's that kind of place.
