Glasgow Youth Hostel SYHA
There are any number of reasons to visit Glasgow and the 110-bed Glasgow Youth Hostel is pretty well placed for most of them, situated in a smart location in the up-and-coming West End of Scotland's largest city, overlooking Kelvingrove Park. Just a short walk or bus-ride from the city centre, it’s also close to the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum (which has one of Europe’s greatest art collections), Riverside Museum, the Botanic Gardens and Glasgow Science Centre, as well as a host of bars, restaurants and clubs.
As for the facilities of the hostel itself, it offers a range of private and multi-share rooms as well as a self-catering apartment which sleeps up to 6 people. All rooms have an en-suite toilet and separate shower facilities, plus there is wifi, a bike store, and spacious common areas including a lounge and TV room, games room, self-catering kitchen and a licensed bar and restaurant. Quite the best budget place to stay in this part of the city.
Beds from £15.50 a night for adults, children £13. Private rooms from £37 a night.
Open all year.
