Rowardennan Lodge Youth Hostel

There aren’t many hostels around the world that boast their own jetty, but this is one of them! On the shores of Loch Lomond which, at 24 miles long, is the largest loch in Scotland, this is a brilliant place for watersports of every kind: the loch is open to every kind of watercraft including kayaks, canoes, windsurfers, jet skis, speedboats  and cruisers, and there are innumerable islands to explore, one of which hosts a colony of wallabies! The 57-room hostel has wifi, while facilities include a communal lounge with spectacular views across Loch Lomond. There is a large self-catering kitchen and dining room, and also meals, snacks and alcoholic drinks available throughout the day. It makes a great base for exploring the local area, whether on foot or on the water.
