The grande dame of Brighton’s entertainment scene, the Theatre Royal dates back to 1807. Today, it prides itself on showcasing plays and musicals which later go on to take up residence in London’s West End. Much of the fare is very mainstream, but amongst each season’s crowd-pleasers there are usually a few thought-provoking offerings, too.
