Off Kingsway Brighton

Gorgeous on a bright summer’s day but very pleasant in breezy winter sunshine, too, the Hove Esplanade is broad enough for a truly relaxed stroll. Skateboarders sometimes weave their way between the beach huts and the beach, but cyclists are required to take a separate path, leaving walkers to enjoy lungfuls of ozone in relative peace. Marking the start of the promenade is the Peace Statue, an angel which has watched over these parts since 1912.
