The hotel itself has the feel of a relaxed country house, with beams, creaky floors and 72 guest rooms in a range of shapes and sizes that's large enough to suit most needs and budgets. The look and feel of most rooms is either bright and contemporary or a more historic country style. All the rooms have satellite or Smart TVs, tea- and coffee-making facilities and biscuits (some have water too), room service, and well-appointed en-suite bathrooms with toiletries. Some of the rooms are dog-friendly and a few have four-posters. The hotel has a lovely bar that's just the place for an early evening cocktail before moving through to the restaurant which serves an inventive menu (gastropub with a modern twist) along with an excellent afternoon tea and a choice of roasts on Sunday.
Above all, The Charlecote Pheasant Hotel makes an excellent choice for a short break, mainly due to the fact that there's so much to do nearby: the National Trust site of Charlecote Park, with its Victorian mansion, deer park and extensive grounds and access to the river Avon, is on your doorstep. As is the picturesque village of Charlecote itself. You're also perfectly placed for visiting the sights of Shakespeare's Stratford, as well as Warwick – its castle is a compelling attraction for adults and kids alike. Or you could just stay put and enjoy the grounds and gardens, including the hotel's own tennis court (racquets are available from reception).

I love that it's quiet and peaceful being right next to The National Trust's Charlecote Park, but also just under a 10 minute drive away from Warwick and Stratford-upon-avon. There is so much to do around the area but you don't have the noise of a city centre hotel!Food & Drink
