The Traddock

Hidden in the North Yorkshire village of Austwick, not far away from the bustling market town of Settle, The Traddock is a magnificent small family-run country house hotel.  Owned by the Reynolds family since 2002, the pride and dedication of the team really shines though.  The Traddock is probably the most luxurious dog-friendly places to stay in North Yorkshire.  Canine friends are welcome in all of the fourteen rooms and suites, up to a maximum of 2 dogs per room.  For a quick energy burn-off, there’s two large sized lawns in the hotel grounds, and of course a wealth of walking opportunities in the nearby Yorkshire Dales National Park.  A dog bin in the carpark and outdoor dog washing facilities just highlight how thoughtful these people are.  Provided they are on leads in the hotel, they are allowed anywhere – apart from the two dining rooms.  However, if you’d like to eat with your dog, they happy allow this in the bar area – provided you reserve a table.

Whichever of rooms or suites you choose to stay in, you can feel pampered with a selection of Molton Brown toiletries – with some of the rooms offering the choice between a bath or a shower.  All have tea & coffee making facilities, LCD TVs and fast WiFi connectivity.  Décor is exquisite throughout.  Rooms are available on a B&B or Dinner, B&B basis – a tip is to go for the dinner option, as the food is majestic.
