Always worth a stop on your way in or out of Malham, the farm shop at Town End is the perfect place to jazz up your picnic or campsite barbecue. They sell their own grass-fed lamb, plus locally reared beef and pork (including steaks from the Bolton Abbey Estate herd) alongside some unexpected regional curios – Yorkshire chorizo, say, or some cold-pressed rapeseed oil to dress the organic veg and salad. You'll also find anything from homemade chutneys to frozen-when-picked raspberries. An adjacent tearoom serves big Yorkshire portions at pine tables in front of picture windows over the dale, while upstairs is a gallery full of rugs, throws, wicker baskets, ceramics and other crafts and gifts.
