This lovely 17th-century whitewashed Peak District pub was in the same family for years and is now part of the local Robinsons group. It still serves good food and is still fine to too to just sit in the corner with the paper, a pint of well-kept Unicorn as your companion. Your four-legged friends are welcome too, and since there are any numbers of fabulous walks in and around Ashford, it would be a shame to leave them at home.
