Low Sizergh Barn

Low Sizergh Farm Low Sizergh Kendal LA8 8AE

No surprise that the Lake District is full of farm shops (it is full of farms, after all). But there isn’t another where the tea room looks down onto the milking parlour and the shop stalls are housed in the ancient byres. You’d come just for the food – farm-fresh veg to air-dried Cumbrian ham, farm cheese to organic bread – but there’s also a cracking collection of arts, crafts, antiques, gifts and toys, all beautifully displayed. And if you want to see the cows miked while enjoying a cuppa and a bite to eat, come between 3.30pm and 5pm.

The Owner Says

A working family dairy farm with a multi award winning farm shop, tea room & craft galleries. Enjoy cheeses and ice cream made from the farm's milk, home baking, deli takeaways & local and speciality foods. Taste moo-to-you raw milk dispensed from a vending machine. It's an outstanding whole food: creamy, rich, nutritious and delicious.

Discover gift and clothing galleries, art and household paraphernalia.  Relish a delicious homemade Cumbrian tearoom treat. Watch the cows being milked in their parlour from the tea room windows every afternoon around 3.30pm. Bring your wellies and stroll the 1 ¾ mile farm trail around the farm, pond, woodland and horticultural social enterprise, Growing Well.
