Part of the excellent Tregedna Farm Holidays concern, which includes the Tregedna Farm campsite next door, this former grain store has been converted into self-catering accommodation that makes an ideal budget base for Falmouth and the surrounding area. We love the fact that they've kept the beamed character of the building while re-styling it to house two 6–8-bed dormitories, two family rooms with space for four (in a double bed and two bunks) and a further room with bunk beds. The place sleeps up to 24 in total, so it's great for an extended family get-together.

The bedrooms are downstairs and are bright and light, as is the furniture, plus there's a well-equipped kitchen, a laundry room with washer and dryer – and, the centrepiece, a large sitting and TV room upstairs under the beams. There's also free wi-fi throughout, and you're right on the Southwest Coast Path so there's plenty to do right on your doorstep. Maenporth beach is just a five-minute walk away, and Falmouth just an hour's stroll along the coast path or a few minutes by car. And if you're looking for a place for that special day, they are a popular wedding venue too, with the main sitting room ideal for a big family function.

Getting There

From Truro, take the A39 to Falmouth, staying on it until you pass Asda, after which turn right at the next roundabout (with the black anchor). Go straight across the next 2 mini roundabouts and continue on this road for about 2 miles, following signs to Maenporth. Tregedna Farm is on the right, about ½ mile before the beach.
