Cider House Sheepskin
UK Wales South Wales Monmouthshire

Sleeps 2.
There's no doubt that the England-Wales Borders are a special part of Britain. Of course the Celtic contingent would say that the Welsh side is the best, and who are we to disagree, with the glories of the Brecon Beacons on the doorstep and thriving small towns like Crickhowell and Abergavenny shining beacons of local culture? This unique and tranquil cottage for two is perfectly placed to enjoy all of this, and was justifiably counted among one of The Times' 'Best Romantic Hideaways' in a recent feature. A converted cider pressing barn (who'd have guessed?) which has been pressed into continuing service as a fabulous romantic bolthole for two, Cider House is situated in its own quiet valley off a tiny country lane. You can, of course, do nothing much at all while you're here, and it's a great place to do just that – spending lazy mornings in the hand-made bed, sitting by the open fire or relaxing in your a secluded private garden area, only heading out to stock up on local produce or have dinner in nearby Abergavenny or Crickhowell. But it would be a great walking holiday cottage too, with easy access to nearby footpaths in the surrounding countryside, and just a short drive to the heart of the Brecon Beacons for more challenging hikes. Bear in mind, though, that this is very much a place to escape to: mobile reception is poor, as is TV reception, and there is no DVD player or internet. Pure escapist bliss in other words.
