Headlam Hall
UK England North East England County Durham Darlington
The Robinson family understand Headlam – situated between Darlington and Barnard Castle; they’ve farmed here for four generations. And it’s this passion and love for this Teesdale hamlet that they bring to Headlam Hall.
The family have also made the Hall a haven for dogs. The six Mews rooms are the most dog-friendly here, as they have direct access to the outside and their own designated car parking straight outside – perfect for easy ins and outs to the car. Two dogs are allowed in these rooms, but there are also a selection of dog-friendly Main Hall and Spa rooms which take one smaller dog. For humans, the Mews rooms are a good size and feature either a shower over bath or a large walk-in shower. The private lobby between the two Mews rooms allows for a family to book the two together as a unit. There’s flatscreen TV, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities and Molton Brown toiletries to complete the rooms.
The four acres of the hotel gardens are perfect for some on-lead walking, but there’s also off-lead exercising possible on the village green, just a few yards from the Mews rooms at the end of the hotel drive.
Eating with your furry friends is possible in the Library Bar for either breakfast, lunch or dinner and dogs are welcome in the Brasserie, Main Hall Lounge and bar providing they are clean and on leads.
