This is an historic hotel that previously served as a bishop’s residence and a convent, benefiting from a great location on a quiet central road a short stroll from the high street. Some of the florally carpeted rooms come with views of the pretty landscaped gardens and others look out across the city. The age of the building is somewhat reflected by the furnishings and, while some are nice antiques, in places, it is a little outdated. However, its a welcoming place with a cosy atmosphere and the winning location makes it well worth the price. A quaint old hotel that feels quiet and secluded despite being in the heart of the town.
