Hotels with Self-Catered Facilities!

Sometimes we're torn between a hotel break where everything is just-so and all done for you, and the appeal of a private selfcatered sanctuary all to ourselves. Well, what if we told you that you can have both?

We've put together this list of hotels with self-catered accommodation on site, so that you can enjoy the best of both - your own private bolthole away from it all, with luxury hotel facilities just steps away.

Artist Residence

Artist Residence Oxfordshire

The B&B itself is a stylish shabby chic bolthole in the classic Artist Residence style, nestled just to the West of Oxford and on the Eastern fringes of the Cotswolds - a perfect location for both city days out and for keen walkers. On site enjoy the tavern with local ales, an open fire and cosy armchairs to lounge about in. and homemade bar snacks. Food-wise, they offer both homemade bar snacks and also a full menu in the dining room of local, seasonal produce. It’s been included in the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide 2017, has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for culinary excellence, as well as being rated as a 5* inn.

As for their self-catered accommodation, they have a comfortable chic shepherds hut in the herb garden, allowing you to enjoy your own space.

Gin Trap Inn

The Gin Trap Inn

The Gin Trap Inn is a beautiful 17th Century North Norfolk Inn, renowned for its excellent modern British cuisine. The menu changes regularly and seasonally and is focused on fish and seafood and locally farmed meat and game, with plenty of family favourites too for the kids. The whole place is dog-friendly too, so there's no need to leave the pup at home this holiday!

Their two cottages are well-appointed, with two double bedrooms each and lots of living space, including a contemporary fitted kitchen and a balcony. Breakfast is included in rates - but we wouldn't blame you if you end up eating at the pub for dinner too!

Eastbury Cottage

Eastbury Cottage

The Eastbury Cottage is a perfect cottage escape sleeping 6 in Dorset. It's spacious, with 3 bedrooms, a cosy living space, well-equipped kitchen, separate dining space and a kids bunkhouse outside, amongst more. It's also dog-friendly and has a private hot tub too.

It's just a stone's throw from its partnered hotel, The Eastbury Hotel and Spa - so guests can feel free to roam their grounds, to relax in style at their spa or dine at their restaurant.

The Globe at Wells

The Globe at Wells

It's a superb 19th century coaching inn on the North Norfolk Coast with a quirky Georgian charm. It's a favoured local watering hole, with excellent food too and a perfect base from which to explore the coast. It features 3 self-catered open-plan cottages with kitchenettes on site to enjoy your privacy, but you're not so far from the atmosphere of the pub either.

Idle Waters

Idle Waters at Talbooth Hotel

Idle Waters is a completely idyllic 16th-century timbered riverside cottage in Dedham. Whilst it looks old and rustic from the outside and beamed inside, on the inside, it's right up-to-date, with an open-plan fitted kitchen and diner and doors leading out onto the garden, a bay-fronted living room overlooking the river, and river-view bedrooms too.

Enjoy the Talbooth House & Spa facilities too, including a tennis court and sumptuous open air swimming pool, hot tub and spa. They offer an array of spa treatments and therapies, and offer brilliant spa packages too, such as whole day, half day or after-hours - so there's definitely a treat right for anyone.

The Grove Cromer

Headlam Hall

Headlam Hall

It’s a country house hotel in Durham featuring a cosy bar, great restaurant, cute café and well-tended gardens as well as its rather luxury golf course, spa and pool. The list of facilities seems to go on forever, but it retains its comfy, boutique and personalised feel.

Self-catered-wise, they have The Hideaway - a chic adults-only apartment situated on their grounds, built in an annexe of the Gardener’s Cottage. Filled with stylish furniture and eye-catching art, it also features patio doors opening onto a private garden, which has outdoor seating, a small lawn and a hot tub.
