A traditional stone cottage surrounded by wild moorland, Swallow Barn is a romantic hideaway tucked just a short hop from the coast and cliffs of West Penwith. Built on a 100-acre organic farm in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are few more idyllic places you can make yourself at home in such a quirky, comfy and secluded setting. Inside the layout is low-beamed and higgledy-piggledy in a charming way, with a log burner, book-lined walls and a narrow staircase linking the downstairs living area with the artisan country-kitchen upstairs. Outside you’ve got a private lawn, sun-trap patio and woodland walks straight from the door. As well as being built close to one of Europe’s most notable Iron Age settlements, Swallow Barn is also within half an hour of some of West Cornwall’s best attractions including St Michael’s Mount, the Tate St Ives, surfing beaches, and the Minack Theatre.
