This charming little deli-cum-café-cum-butcher-cum wine cellar sits in the equally charming small town of Winchelsea. The café is about as bijou as it gets, but it does have a nice paved terrace out back and there’s a great range of deli delights, fine wines and butcher’s best cuts in the shop. Free-range and organic beef, lamb and pork come from their own organic farm and the array of English and Continental cheeses, salamis, cured meats, pâtés and terrines is endless. As well as wines from abroad, they sample a good stock of kent and sussex wines and champagnes from vineyards on the chalky slopes nearby.
