A charming B&B in an 18th-century farmhouse, with an amiable atmosphere and comfortable rooms.

Dating back to 1775, this Welsh stone farmhouse has a charming rustic feel, enhanced by a careful refurbishment. The beautiful en-suite double rooms have flat-screen TVs and tea/coffee making facilities – most still have their original fireplaces, though sadly not for use. However, the lounge space downstairs has a wonderful log-burning stove that throws out heat during the winter, surrounded by dark leather sofas and large windows that look out into the garden. And what a garden it is – 8 acres of green space spread out before the farmhouse, with wooded dells, wild grassy stretches and a cluster of small ponds.
Breakfast is taken in a pleasant little dining room, served up by Huw Davies, the amiable owner of the establishment, who packed up life working in London and took his experience working in the tourist industry back to this quiet corner of West Wales. He certainly knows his stuff and has earned this B&B its rightful reputation as a warm and welcoming place. And with the dramatic Welsh coast less than 3 miles away, you're set for an idyllic few days away in a charming location. You can also opt for glamping in the B&B's own gypsy caravan.
